Scandinavian Naturals Awarded Pharmaceutical Contract
PERKASIE, Pa., May 27 /PRNewswire/ -- Scandinavian Naturals, manufacturers of
natural health products, headquartered in Perkasie, PA, have been awarded a
pharmaceutical contract for their product SALIX(TM) SALIVA TABLETS for relief
of dry mouth symptoms -- by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Pharmaceutical
Products Division. This is a million dollar per order contract which is valid
through December 31, 2002.
SALIX(TM) was under review by the Department of Veterans Affairs for several
months before the contract was granted. All V.A. hospitals will purchase
SALIX(TM) directly from Scandinavian Naturals.
Other divisions of the Government are currently reviewing SALIX(TM) as well.
SALIX(TM) relieves oral dryness. Oral dryness (xerostomia) is uncomfortable,
irritating, and often debilitating. There can be various causes of dry mouth.
Diseases, such as Sjogren's Syndrome and lupus, side effects of hundreds of
