I have been on Avonex now for about a month and 1/2 and we are already
seeing progress. I would strongly recommend it. It has improved my
strength and lessened many of my symptoms. It is not a cureall, but it
did help alleviate many of my symptoms. And the discomfort or flu-like
symptoms that happen 24 hrs after the injection can be lessened with
extra strength tylenol taken at regular intervals during that time. And
I have noticed that the flu-like symptoms are happening less with each
successive shot. Recently the doctor also started me on Baclofen and
Amantadine. The Baclofen was to treat the muscle spasicity which is
causing some of my walking problems and the Amantadine to combat the
fatique I currently suffer from the TM.
