My DR is doing the same thing to me. He prescribed avonex, but Medicare
wouldn't pay for it, so I applied to beta-seron for help from their foundation
and was approved. My symptoms are like yours plus some numbness in my face,
bad headaches and swelling on my neck and head. I was first diagnosed with TM
in 1986, and for the last 2 yrs, the symptoms I am experiencing are different
from when I was first diagnosed with TM. My DR. Thinks that I have MS, even
though my MRI's and spinal taps show no sign of it. He said it is sometimes
difficult to see the evidence of MS and sometimes has to revert to a clinical
diagnosis. The foundation at beta-seron has accepted his diagnosis, so I am
presuming that he is right.
