time is of the essence for you. Avonex injections given weekly seem to be the
drug of choice in prevention of MS attacks and is proven to retard progression
of MS.Another important factor is it's 99.5% saftey factor of not damaging a
persons vital organs.The down side seems to be the probability of
discomfort(flu-like symptoms,nausea,more severe effects,etc)within the 24hr
post injection.Benefits seem to outweigh the risks,by far.I hope this info is

Thanks Phil. I appreciate your response. I have been researching online and
have seen some really positive things about Avonex. Now I am waiting to see
if the medical group board approves it. If they don't, I am prepared to
contest their decision to the insurance company. I have decided that I do
want to give this a try.
