Dear Christi
I've had several discs that have "herniated" and have had
surgeries. Even if the problem in it's origin has nothing to
do with TM, my surgeon told me that the lack of
abdominal/back muscle that comes with paralysis below a
certain level causes the spinal cord to have less
stability/muscle support. That's may be part of the reason
why a certain portion of the spinal cord may "bulge" or
curve (scoliosis).
Like mine, they can be fused to avoid further problems. Good
