A personal note

Forgive me for putting something personal and not directly TM related here,
but I consider some of you among my closest friends. I mentioned earlier my
dad's poor health -- yesterday he took a turn for the worse with a lung
infection with results similar to pneumonia (this on top of lung cancer and
heart failure) and he's on a respirator and feeding tube. We're leaving this
evening to try to drive out to Houston -- about 13 hours, more depending on
bathroom breaks -- you know how that goes. Tried to check on airfares --
horrendous without 7 day advance purchase. Explained it was a family
emergency, but still expensive. Don't know when we'll get back -- depends on
how he does. I have very much appreciated your warm thoughts and encouragement
and prayers concerning my dad since I mentioned him here on the list several
days ago and also concerning me and my health in the midst of this crisis.
