Dear Barbara,
My heart goes out to you right now with all that is happening in your
life - you will remain in my thoughts and prayers daily!
I just felt I needed to share that even going to the doctor at the first
sign of something unusual does not always guarantee a cure. Six months
ago my father-in-law, who was extremely physically fit for his age, an
avid outdoors man, always exercising, and watching his diet and who was
not one to put off going to the doctor, began feeling very tired and a
little disoriented so he immediately went to the doctor - it was 3
months to the day from that first office visit that he passed away - he
had 3 brain tumors that were massive and inoperable and too late for
chemo - there had been no symptoms prior to that. Our bodies don't
always give us a lot of warning prior to a catastrophic incident - as
most of us TMers can attest to. Don't misunderstand my posting - I
agree with you 100% about taking care of yourself and seeing your
physician whenever there's concern, but by the same token, when it's
our time to go - it's our time, and it's never easy on the loved ones
left behind.
Please do practice what you preach and take care of yourself, especially
now with all the life changes you're going through - we're supporting
you all the way - hope your not off line too long - plug us back in as
soon as you can and let us know how you're doing and how you like SC!
