He was probably surprised to see me, since Social Security didn't send me
either of the two notices of the appointment (I'm sure the doctor gets paid
for missed appointments). They did sent one notice to my lawyer, a copy of
the letter they pretended to send to me, which is how I found out about the
appointment. My lawyer didn't seem that surprised that I didn't get any
notices, which is why he calls his clients to discuss the appointment.
This way of dealing with the citizenry is so annoying and unethical. I
urge other folks who are trying to get disability payments from the US
government not to give up--get help, either from a lawyer or through the
congressional offices.
