Peter:
A GP is important.
My mother had bone cancer and developed speech and swallowing problems,
right out of the blue. Her cancer doc did a brain scan and said he
thought the cancer had moved into here head. Whilst all this was going
on my mother had to be hospitalized because of dehydration. And in her
condition form the cancer, she was in bad shape.
I came in to see here and our family doc just happened to be there also.
I questioned him as to what is going on with my mom and has he seen the
brain scans. I also pointed out that he was the primary physician and
she is his responsibility. "I got his attention"
He suggested she see an Eyes, Ears, and Throat specialist.
Turns out after suffering a week and being hospitalized she had Thrush.
A babies mouth infection, caught because of all the drugs she was on
making her system susceptible.
GP's are good for delegation, specialist tend to stay with there field.
A good GP is valuable.
