I am Charles Barden from Eastbourne in England. My Daughter Christine has
T.M. and as she is not on the Internet I send her all your letters.
She would like to reply so I am sending her letter.

Hi,
That was an interesting comment Barbara made about ‘had’ or ‘have’ T.M. I
was diagnosed with T.M. after eliminating other illnesses in July 1996. I
gradually improved with walking, speech and had more energy until I caught
another bug, probably just a common cold but it set me back, and since then
I have had many ups and downs.
In January 1998 I was taken back into hospital for further tests to see
whether T.M. had moved on to MS, as I had been very ill again
November/December 1997.
Good news – there was no evidence, but my immune system must be down because
I am so susceptible to relapses. I am on Neo-Cytamen, 1000mcg. Injections
monthly for 6 months.
In March 1998 my Dentist gave me an injection of Ligocaine and Adrenaline to
cover me whilst a tooth was filled. She had warned me that I might react to
the drugs, but as 18 Months had past since my acute onset, I thought it
unlikely.
How wrong I was – as soon as I stood up from the Dentist’s chair all the
original symptoms of shakes, stutter, altered hearing sounds and lack of
co-ordination returned. They took a week to subside, has anyone else
experienced the same? My Dentist says she had experienced it before with a
patient who have had Poliomyelitis.
Also has anyone got any ideas how to keep isolated from viruses, as I think
I caught the Chickenpox virus after visiting the surgery, as I am ill again?
Christine.
