Hi, I've had TM since 1986 and have just recently been turned on to the
Internet. I am so excited about finding out that there are so many people
that I can share my experiences with and learn even more about this malady.
When I first was diagnosed with TM, I was paralyzed from the chest down and
had to use a wheelchair. It took about 6 months before I was able to walk
with a walker then cane. Since then, I have been able to walk without
assistance sometimes. I have found that I have some good days where I can
walk and others where I have to lay flat.
Recently, I had a relapse, and at first they said belles palsy, and then MS.
I believe it is TM since the symptoms were the same as when I first contacted
TM. The Doctors want to put me on interferon, and I wonder if anyone has used
this medication. I would appreciate any comments on this, since I am very
skeptical on the diagnosis and the medicine.
