My name is Steve and like the others I've read about in your club, I've had
their sytoms and then some. I came down with tm on Oct 31 1980, some trick
or treat huh! I was 20yrs old in my prime, had a beutiful wife and just had
my first and only girl in June of that same yr.
We had a time in and out of hosp. in 3 states I never got to see my girl
for 2 mo. After 3yrs my wife left and it was Amber and me, She's almost 18
now and she's been just it for me, helping out and holding a job and
school, I could'nt have made it without her. It still hurt's now wandering
how she realy feels about me not able to pick her up carry her play catch
or go for a walk with her.I could go on but I won't.
I have now some ability to walk with crutches for a short go, I fall alot,
But I've came a long way with the help from GOD and family.
I take elivil day and night for the cronic nerve pain, the doc say's, and
I've alwasys had bad leg spasms, charlie horse's and leg cramp's, for that
I took valium for 5 yrs then went to ativan now so I could sleep some at
night. I've tried Epadorals acupuncher Beef liver pill's and many other
pills.
I was cutting wood that day and my feet fell asleep on me around 5pm and I
never gave it much thought, just went to bed and the next morning I was not
able to get out of bed. It climbed up to my chest and stopped there I
almost died, I saw the tunnel straight up and looking down was my pastor
making sure I was ready to go. And that's all I can remember til I got to
another hosp.Had test's for day's and slowly after 2mo it worked it'sway
down just like it came up. But it left the damage behind.
All I can say to those who just developed tm, hang on and don't give up for
there;s always someone out there who is worse off than you are. Well I have
many details but I can't type to good or fast so I'll say so long for now.
Have a nice day!
Steve
