Yes, of course there is someone in almost ever town that has this malady. Our
Doctor's were in the Vanderbilt Clinic and Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehah and MS
Clinic. Dr. Howard Kirshner was our primary Neurologist and he was assisted by
Dr.'s Harold Moses and Sam Hunter (615-936-4140, MS Clinic/ 615-936-0060,
Office). Both of these were just in from Mayo and Dr. Hunter had done Beverly's
workup at Mayo. They have had some experience mostly provided by Beverly and
three other patients. They are willing to be members of the "team" and allow
you to direct your health with their assistance. What we experienced is that if
you don't "take the bull by the horns" you may be left in a corner with six
month checkups or steroids when you end up in the emergency room. This is a
malady that requires your full time attention and you must demand help and
badger your insurance company to provide your support.
