My daughter Sumer is 14 years old she was diagnosised with TM 16 months ago. Her's hit the t-8 part of her
spinal cord. It was november of 1996. She was also paralized from the waist down. It came very quickly she
complained of a back ache one evening I told her to go take a hot bath, and when she sat down in the tub she
went numb. She has regained some strenghth on her right side and a little on her left. she has been in a
wheelchair since then. She walk a little with a left kfo and a walker. (therapy walking) We also live by a field
that is often swampy. I have never heard of tM being an aninal virus, but I often wondered about the
mosquittos from the feild. My son had ensphalitis a few years ago which the doctors said was carried from
mosquitos. He had a severe headache for a day then he was fine. What time a year did you get TM? Whaat
kind of animals are suppose to carry this virus? Did you have any recovery ? If so how much and how long
did it take? I feel that my daughter is adjusting well to being in the wheelchair, but I know it must be very hard
