To my Tm comrades,
Re: Wheelchairs
Thanks to all of you who were able to give me information on powered
chairs, especially you, Martin. Your information will definitely help
me in making a decision regarding a new chair. One brochure I got was
for a Saber by E & J. Have you heard any good or bad about that one?
I'm not particularly impressed with the design, but it looks pretty
beefy/durable. Any thoughts? I think I'd like to look into the front
wheel drive you mentioned, however, I'm pretty partial to Quickie's. My
manual chair is a Quickie and it's been trouble free for 13 years, so I
know they are built well. Thanks again for all your help!
Re: Complete and Incomplete
I appreciate you all clearing that up for me - I guess I'm considered an
incomplete. I have no feeling or sensation from T5 down, but I can walk
short distances with a walker, watching the balance very carefully every
step. No one ever explained the terms to me before.
Final thought:
I meant to sign my state on my last posting, but I forgot - you know the
memory thing and TM - anyway - I really appreciate when you all share
what state you live in. Many times when I'm watching the news and hear
about events happening in your particular state (or country) - like the
heat wave in Arizona (I have a hard time breathing in the extreme heat)
I think of Sharon M.(by the way you're on my prayer list for Monday
during your MRI); or the torrential rains in Washington (it's hard
enough getting around in a chair without having to contend with the wet)
and I think of Jim, Deanne & Paula, and then there's Bob and Sharon K.
in Texas, Lori in Florida, Stacy in Michigan, Babara in Georgia, and of
course our far away friends like, Gemma in England, Christ in Belgium
and of course Netta in Israel and I think of how their lives might be
affected by what is going on and I pray for them. So if you don't think
it's divulging too much - I for one would like to know where you are. I
personally live in the most gorgeous beach less state in America (I bet
I get some flack on that statement). We have the most awesome
mountains, lakes and rivers any where and of course, the biggest and
best spuds in the world! How about you?
Living in the Son shine,
I am,
Claudia, the chair potato of Idaho
