Transverse myelitis and peripheral nerves?

In November 1997 I was hospitalized with total paralysis of both legs,
loss of bowel/bladder function, etc. Had positive Babinski's (upgoing
toes), leg reflexes intact, negative spinal and brain MRI's for lesions,
both elevated cells and protein in spinal fluid. Prior to this sudden
acute attack I had experienced lower back tingling and then numbess for
three months (diagnosed as "pinched nerve").

My spinal cord, spinal cord root nerves AND peripheral nerves were all
involved in the inflammation/demylinization process. Is there anyone
else out there who was diagnosed as having acute transverse myelitis who
ALSO had peripheral nerve involvement? What about high cell count as
well as high protein count in spinal tap?
