I remember the MDs wouldn't give Greg any Valium because they didn't want to
slow down his breathing at all. He was on the verge of being put on a
ventilator so he roughed it. Greg said, he pretended that my 4 year old nephew
was having the MRI & Greg had to go in with him to comfort him. I thought this
was a great idea if you can't have drugs. In fact, throughout this recovery,
I've told Greg not to tell himself anything that he wouldn't tell our nephews
or his friends. For instance, "you'll never walk again...you don't want to
live like this...etc. Of course, he wouldn't say these things to a friend.
this works sometimes.
