Announcing a new mobility oriented listserv: HandiRide-L

The purpose of HandiRide-L is to provide a platform for the
discussion of issues effecting the daily lives of persons with
Mobility Impairments. Of particular interest is assistive
technology, coping methods, transportation, vehicle modifications,
home modifications, wheelchair tips, orthotics, access to shopping and
travel, service animals, etc.

This is a place for anyone involved with the disability movement to
participate. This includes persons with disabilities and their
families, also volunteer and professional advocates as well as those
whose profession is working with the disabled.

Here we have the opportunity to share information, research,
resources, discuss opinions and advocacy strategies, and to learn
what is happening elsewhere.

You are encouraged to join in any discussion that interests you.
Please share with us events and happenings you may know about. It is
requested that topics discussed be relevant to the purpose of the
listserv. Religion, abortion, right-to-life discussions are NOT
relevant to this listserv. Politics should be limited to advocacy
issues and not devolve into party politics or electioneering.
Personal discussions should be saved for private email or taken to a
"chatroom".

Please share with your friends the information about HandiRide-L and
urge them to join us!
