I had an MRI scheduled following my regular 12 hour shift at work. The
technician explained the machine by telling me how confining, noisy and that it
is the latest technology the x-ray world knows. He had me empty my
pockets, take off my watch, and basically get all metal off my person. It felt
like I was being slid into a narrow storm drain. I had opted for ear plugs.
After he started it up,he stopped and told me to quit moving my legs. I told
him my feet seemed to be wanting to lift up on their own. He started it back
up again. He stopped it once more and taped my legs down with duct tape.
After the MRI and about 4 hours sleep,I figured out what had happened.
The steel toe workshoes were a metal that neither of us had thought about. LOL
