Re: In My Humble Opinion (MHO)......

I may regret this later but here goes.

I have been reading the messages going back and forth from the atheist(s)
and those of us who believe in God and something my father-in-law says
comes to mind -- "there are no atheists in fox holes when the bullets are
flying all around you." He was shot up pretty good in WWII so he should
know (and he isn't and never was an atheist so he would not fall in the
"scared religious" category either).

The anger/bitterness with which the anti-religion messages have been
written I find sad - especially when I personally believe that there can
be much more peace, happiness, and understanding if you have faith. Like
Steve's belief in a miracle in his life, my doctor was amazed at my
progress after just 1 month - wait until I see him in April and he sees
that I am almost back to normal at only 4 months! I'll take my faith,
and the miracles that are available through it, over the bitterness,
negativity, etc. of the non-believers (especially sick ones) any day!

Just a thought - and I'm sure there will be some who think I should have
kept it to myself - but the statements referred to have been bothering me
since I read them last week and I felt I needed to say something. I hope
this particular war of words (of faith v. no-faith) is over - it never
really accomplishes much as those on either side of the argument have
already come to their own conclusions.

P.S. If you are going to blast me about my views just remember they are
MY views and I do have a right to them just others have a right to
theirs. However, I would never post a message like this if the subject
matter hadn't been brought up by someone else first. It is just MHO. :>)
