After we were told that "something" invaded Jake's spinal cord, ans read of
the various things that were possibilities....we have wondered if perhaps
several of the snowboarding and biking accidents that Jake had, perhaps
didn't leave his spinal cord with some "breaks" that left it easier for the
virus or whatever to attack. But, like I've mentioned before, I really
believe that it is a cumulation of first having a weakened immune system,
whether from heredity or stress or illness, and then having any one of or
all of the things mentioned on Phil's survey happen to you. In Jake's
case, I believe he had every single thing on Phil's list happen to him.
But I don't think that just the car accident alone would cause TM. Could
have caused a weak spot in her spine,,,a place for that mean old virus or
antibody to attack. It's kind of like "what comes first, the chicken or
the egg?" "what comes first, the bad antibody, or the spine injury?" Gone
on long enough about that one...How are you all doing? I noticed Sumer
emailed one of her own messages the other day. I wish Jake would talk to
some of the folks on this list...He likes to here what you all have to say,
but he doesn't want to talk yet. He does have fun with Jim's different
pages...has been to the Cape Canaveral and Dis Res Page etc. Hope
everything is going fine in your home. I know it's a tough battle. Judi
