There was nothing about pity in my response. Compassion yes but pity no.

And there is nothing unusual about self pity. It is practiced by the ill
and the healthy every day. Why this, why me, why, why, why?
I would never say to condone it just understand it maybe. I say let a
person feel 'self pity' just don't over react to it. Because what ever
you say, do, will more than likely be wrong. Self pity is a cry for
attention, the answer is always an understanding love.
