My first flu shot was approximately 1962. I can vividly remember walking back
from the infirmary at GE with my two bosses and feeling faint. Then I was on
the floor. It took several hours for the dizziness to pass.
It wasn't until approximately five years ago till I felt I "needed" another
flu shot (recommended by the medical profession). My doctor felt my medical
condition put me at a high risk if I contracted the flu. After receiving the
shot, I was sick for approximately one week. Symptoms consisted of light-
headedness, sour stomach, tiredness. All the symptoms of the flu--just not as
severe. Two years later, I received another flu shot. This time, the
symptoms were more severe and lasted over two weeks. (Also, sometime in this
time frame, I received a pneumonia shot.) As a result, I have not had another
flu shot, and it really doesn't matter what risk level the doctor labels me.
I will not do it again!
When all this happened, I was not involved with the TM group and had no idea
that the shots could have been connected in any way.
In addition, I have had several trips to Caribbean islands where I had shots
from doctors to prevent illnesses. All this certainly gives me a lot to
think about.
