Jan S. The burning has been since the onset of TM--8/3/4 years ago. For the
first three years I suffered--no medication for pain. This was primarily my
choice since I was so nervous about becoming "drug dependant". Then a deep
depression set in (what a surprise), and they finally started to give me
serious medications for pain. Presently, I have been involved with the Univ.
of PA in Philadelphia, PA for the last 1-1/2 years, and they are trying all
types of medications. The process has been tough--I'm literally a guinea pig.
The medications I'm now taking semi work, but when I overdo, nothing works.
I'm going to talk with them when I return to Philadelphia. Unfortunately,
that won't be until the end of April. I'm in Clearwater, FL now. The winters
are just too miserable for me--I'm a young "snow bird".
