Hi Theophil,
My name is Joel and I first won this lottery from hell, August 30, 1996.
I lost all movement from the neck down, but it left my right leg alone, except
for a little on the right knee. I had a fast improvment for walking, but could
not
use my hands and I have had a horrible time with this frozen/burnning pain
mainly on my left side.At times I have quite a bit of fatigue, but I can cope
with
that. And at times I have some problems with my left leg and waist from pain.
You asked about after 2 years, well I have just noticed that I am still
regaining
somemore strength and a little more muscle growth on my right hand between the
thumb and index finger and it has been 1 year, 6 months and 18 days.
My doctor has said he has heard of people getting better of up to 4 years, but
who
is to say it can't even be longer than that.
We are all different and I think inprovements come so slowly it's hard to tell
some
times.
By the way, the improvements I have had took a lot of force and pain to get
it back. I think I have forced my nerves to re-grow because I have worked very
hard expecially with my hands, with great endurance I made them do what they
used to do even though I got very frustrated and mad and with great pain.
I can now say I have regained about 80-90 o/o back. I am now praying I loose
this
pain. This pain is named "Hello, remember me?"
I am sorry this is so long.
Don't give up, you must fight this damm thing.
Best Wishes,
Joel
