Your question about spasms and pain is not clear cut. I've read where some
people recover continually. I, however, have had it since 1979, and within
the first few months only regained some of my hand strength back and most of
my touch sensation. I still have numbness and little pain and temperature
sensation from T-1 down. My spasms have never gone away. I take Baclofen and
Ditropan to control them.
It sounds like each person is different. Hope for best.
