Hello Everyone,

I guess I should introduce myself. I'm 28 years old. I was diagnosed with TM
April of 1997. I was diagnosed with lesions from T9 to T12. I was paralized
from the waist down. I have since gotten some feelings back in my legs. I'm
walking now with crutches and I still have to depend on "the chair" in the
afternoons after work and when I go shopping. I have recently started driving
again. That was pretty weird after almost a year. It really feels great to
have some indepencence again. I know you all can relate to that.

I'm really glad to have found you guys on the net. I'm not real familiar with
this computer stuff yet but I'm learning. I recently go a copy to the TM
newsletter. This was very informative for me. It answered a lot of questions
I had.

The only medication I take right now is Zanaflex for the spasms at night. It
seems to help me sleep better...I can't say the same for my poor husband
though. I wake him up all through the night kicking.

I think I'm learning to live the the bladder and bowel problems although my
bladder is beginning to work better (I'm not having accidents anymore and I
know when I have to go.)

I'm really glad to know there are other people out there who know what I'm
going through. I've been reading the archived lists and I have to say when I
first found this and started reading I was bothered for quite a few days
knowing there were other people out there who had suffered the same things I
had gone through. I really don't wish this on anyone but I am thankful we all
seem to be dealing very well.

I do have a question: Will I always have this pain and will the spasms get
better eventually? And do you eventually get all the feeling back in your
legs? Right now I can sense touch and can distinguish between hot and cold
water I can also tell when I over do it walking or standing.

I guess I should close for now. I'm glad I found you guys!!!
