I've heard of mercury leaching from fillings causing immune system problems
and stories of people getting rid of health problems by having their
fillings replaced with non-metallic ones. I've also heard, though, that
removing the fillings has to be done carefully because just removing them
can cause much more release of mercury into the system. It's also very
expensive.
