Just want to say the digest has been very helpful so far. My Mom has had
TM since 1973. She is 87 now. I have never known anything about this
disease-it's been a big mystery. It came on suddenly, all of a sudden she
couldn't walk. Gradually she did get so she could walk but there has been a
gradual decline in the use of her legs over all these years and now she
can't move them at all. I could never understand why she still had pain in
her legs. Mom has made the best of it, and although she hasn't been able
to do a lot of things, she continued to do what she could and has been an
inspiration to everyone around her. I think it would have been a lot
easier for her and for the family if there had been a place like this to
get info at the beginning.
