We are on an HMO also, and they paid for three months of physical therapy at
home. But we had to make frequent phone calls to our dr'.s office (with ours
everything has to be handled first by the primary care physician's office) and
then the neurologist's office before it got going. I think physical therapy
helped me a lot. You might ask the neurologist about it, and if he/she says it
will benefit Sumer, then you might "pester" whoever you need to to get it
started. At first they wanted to send me an hour away several times a week for
PT, but we asked about having it at home, anf they agreed.
