diagnosis is acute, chronic transverse myelitis with lesions apparent.
The origin has been determined as spinal arterial thrombosis. So it is
now acute myelitis compounded by the "stroke."

Steve Nickell:
Wow! So you have possible recurring tm because of a poor blood flow to
your spine?
If I understand your diagnosis. "Sorry to here that".
What interests me other then your getting better. Is the Doc's have
given the name 'tm' to a condition caused by poor blood flow.
Some time ago there was discussion here about the med field expanding
the range of 'tm' as it relates to various unknown {or in your case,
known} causes of spinal damage. And as to just what is and is not true
tm as it related to the majority on the list.
One person pointed out that the Doc's needed something to put in the
file to qualify a person for med insurance another though the diagnosis
'tm' was used by the Doc's when confronted by any unknown.
But in your case [IMO] they are correct in there diagnosis with using
the words Transverse Myelitis. That being purely a description of an
area of the spine that does not function. The cause being, a lack of
blood flow is producing death of Myelin sheath.
Am I on the right track or am I lost here?
So you see unlike yourself I have nothing to point to as to my cause of
Myelin death except some vague assumptions that an unknown virus
possibly caused my body to attack itself.
"Taking into the account yourself, the participant that had Shingles
diagnosed as to be active in there spinal fluid, and a couple of similar
others".

And God bless you too;
