I assume he already knows that that patients over 50 don't have diabetes?
Diabetic Neuopathy causes tingling, numbness and burning sensations in the
lower legs and feet.

I am interested in the flu shot angle since I had a flu shot 10 months before
the TM attack. Within 2 months after getting the flu shot I started having
trouble walking and pain in my legs. My neurologist says I may have MS and
therefore those early symptoms (before TM attack) could have been MS. But, he
was also very interested in the fact that I had a flu shot before the problems
began.
