Lynn,

If my legs or feet get too hot under the covers in winter, they hurt enough
to wake me up. This winter has been so warm, I've mostly just slept under a
flannel sheet. Did you have a lot of covers on? At the time you felt the
"space heater" were you also sweating above the level of your injury? If
so, I would say go to lighter covers. Sometimes I pull the blanket around
my arms and shoulders with just the sheet on my legs, or I barely stick my
feet out so some heat can escape.

I've had TM six years, so I can't tell you if that symptom will be forever
or not. Plus we all respond so individually, no can tell for sure. I did
have much worse pain the first month or two than I have now, though.
