Hello everyone. I appreciate the responses to my "New TMer" message I
sent the other day - they really helped! I have a question about pain.
I see a lot of people talking about having pain and I haven't had any
ongoing pain (just the prednisone reaction) but have started to notice
over the last few days that my knees (esp. the left one) and now my
thighs are causing me some discomfort. I tossed and turned last night
trying to find a comfortable position to sleep in. It is not painful
enough to take any Darvocet or anything like that but it's beginning to
be noticeable.

I am now almost 3 months post diagnosis and have had a fairly good
recovery to this point. I walk with a cane only on long outings, still
have tingling and coldness in my feet, and the weakness and fatigue. I
am currently on Neurontin. Any ideas as to what might be going on? I
did walk a good bit on Saturday - including some gradual inclines and
declines - at our local aquarium. Could it be that I am just more
sensitive to this type of exercise now than I normally would have been?
I do plenty of walking around the house and bending over to pick up toys,
etc. on a daily basis while chasing after my 3 yr. old and 2 yr. old. I
didn't have any pain on Saturday - just real fatigued on Saturday and
even on Sunday.

Any thoughts/suggestions would be appreciated.

Lori Shipley

P.S. I live in Florida and it still is not what I would consider cold
here so I doubt if it is weather related.

:-)
