This is my first posting. My husband and I have been reading for the
past couple weeks when I began experiencing what my neurologist calls a
"resurgence of tm symptoms." This started with muscle twitches in my
legs, progressing to pain in my right side, and beginning numbness in my
legs. With rest it has begun to subside. Has anyone else had these
symptoms after almost a full recovery? The only residual problem I had
was numbness in the lower half of my right leg. It has been two years
since I was diagnosed with tm. My injury is at T 1-2.

Here are my answers to the survey.

#1 age at onset - 29
#2 stress level- high - I had two children at the time (ages 2 and 4
1/2), I worked 3 days a week as a dental hygienist, and I was going to
college at the University of Washington 2 days a week. The college was
and hour and twenty minutes from our home, so it was a long commute.
#3 vertebral injuries - none
#4 vaccinations - flu shot in October 1995
#5 any flu like illness prior to the onset of tm? - yes two weeks prior
I was sick for more than a week with high fever chills. (My neurologist
says the antibodies from the flu is the cause of my tm)
#6 any rash prior to tm? - no
#7 ever live or work close to any possible health risk? - not really -
radiation a work -dental hygiene, but this should be very minimal
