The EBV was one of the many things I was tested for when I was first in the
hospital. I was told it showed I had had it in the past, possibly just from a
cold, but did not have it now. I've never had a flu shot (-- it never made
sense to me since there were so many different strains of flu.) I was also
told I definitely didn't have Guillain-Barre, though I wasn't told how that
diagnosis is made or how it is different from TM. As I started to read about
some of these different neurological conditions, I was amazed at how similar
many of them were.
