Thank you so much for these messages about Tegretol. I have
been taking it for quite a few months but my insurance pays for the
generic brand - "carbamazepine". I take 200 mg, 3x a day. It helps
subside the pain from my slipped disk but does nothing for the pain on
my torso from the TM. Since it did give me some relief, I continued to
take it. But I noticed that for no apparent reason, I began to itch in
2 unusual places. What the heck - we're all adults here -- my rectum
began to itch and the skin (only the epidermis) on my vagina itched
mercilessly. After reading all this mail about Tegratol, I am sure it
is responsible for my itching. Thanks to you all. Now I have something
to bring to my doctor and maybe soon I WON'T ITCH!!! YEA!!!
