Dear Sandy ~
I wanted to write and thank you for your assistance. I took your much
appreciated advice and joined the TMIC. What a blessing it has been to
me!
Nineteen days ago TM hit me and I totally lost use of my right leg and
90% of my left leg. Today I have regained the use of my left leg and
can move the toes on the right and move my knee side to side!
Yes, I found a wonderful neurologist and he gave me massive doses of
steroids for five days...I'm just finishing up on the Methylprednisolone
tablets.
I turned three doctors down flat when they wanted to admit me to the
hospital. I started therapy on my legs myself immediately with the help
of my "significant other" here at home. My neurologist is "very
impressed" with my improvement since I did not receive treatment until
the fourth day!
Today is the fifteenth day since I started I.V. injections....today ,
with the help of my wheel chair, I made dinner for the first time. WHAT
A JOY !
God is walking with me every step of the way and with His help I have
every confidence that some day I will walk again. If for some reason He
decides otherwise, I will thank Him every day for what He has given me
as of today.
Thank you again Sandy. Bad things happen to good people and you've
introduced me to a lot of them! :)
