Hello! I just read your article on the internet. I was struck with
transverse myelitis at age 18 - I'm now 23. I woke up in middle of the
night with back pain and when I got up in the morning, my legs were
tingly. Within a matter of hours, I was paralyzed from my chest down.
I remained in the hospital for 2 weeks and a rehab center for 3 months.
I now walk with a cane and brace on my right leg because my knee is not
strong enough on its own. Life is good. My "new" baby is 10 months
old.
Keep a positive attitude and always remember that it could be worse!!
