Joyce, Jan H. here. The questions that you pose
about allergies are correct--the body produces too
much histamine thus the need for antihistamines
to stop the itch, etc. I believe that TM is another
example of the immune system attacking its own
'home'.

I've suffered from too many numerous allergies to
name, i.e., trees, dust, grass, dogs, many anti-
biotics, etc. The only area that I have been allergy
free has been foods-you can tell that by looking!(LOL)
I take a very strong antihistamine and have taken
steroids for too many years. I retired at the first
chance hoping that away from the stress I would
finally be able to quit these medications which I was
doing great till up jumped TM.
