It's hard to say...I've had a number of weird feelings in various places that
have scared me to death, but I've never gotten as incapicitated (sp?) as I was
at the onset of TM. That, to me, is one of the hardest things to deal with,
having my body do weird things and not know what is going on and just having
to wait it to see what happens. I would call my neurologist frequently the
first few months, and his explanation was that my nervous system was more
sensitive since TM and would respond more easily, and in weird ways, to
stimuli. Leo Freyer wrote an explanation on the list many months ago that
helped me a lot -- you can search the archives for it (I believe the subject
was something like 'jolts'), but the gist of it was that when nerves are
damaged in some way, they send weird sgnals in their efforts to reroute.
You should probably check with your neurologist and tell him what's going on
and ask if it's anything to worry about.
