hello my name is judi degrand. my 14 year old son was diagnosed with
transverse myelitis this past June. He spent 2 months at Childrens
hospital in Milwaukee Wis. he currently is paralyzed from the chest down.
he was an active snowboarder and rollerblader and BMX bike racer. needless
to say this winter is becoming a bit of a drag to him. he is currently
learning to play the quitar and does a lot of chating on the internet and
plays play-station games. However, I believe it would be to his benefit if
he could talk to others that are in the same situation as he is... perhaps
there is someone out there with transverse myelitis that would like to chat
with jake about how it feels from a wheelchair viewpoint. The winter blues
