I began noticing symptoms Sept. 10 (numbness throughout body, =
nausea, tight feeling under breasts,
feeling hot and cold). I was in bed for 8 weeks, couldn't eat, had =
digestive problems and alot of=20
heaviness in chest. I did not experience paralysis or bladder or =
bowel problems. I was told that
I had a post-viral infection and then went for a second opinion at =
Mayo. The diagnosis there
was Acute Transverse Myelitis. A mild tranquilizer was prescribed =
and I was sent home. I
thought I was beginning to get better as time went on. Now it has =
been 15 weeks and I
have continued to experience extreme pain throughout my body from =
time to time. My second MRI showed that the inflamation at the C2 site =
is almost gone. However, I am still in pain. The past 2 days my body =
has felt like it was on fire. Today I'm a little better. =20
=20
Has anyone else had this type of experience with TM? Are there =
medications available for the pain?
What do I have to look forward to? =20
=20
Please Help!!!
