CAROLYN:

If you hands actualy turn blue, it sounds like you have poor circulation. Can
you, or do you have much use of your hands? If you do, you might try
exercise--squeezing a soft bubber ball--to help circulation--if not, try
getting someone to move you fingers, hand, wrist and arm to help circulation.
I use an asprin a day to help with my circulation because it acts as a blood
thinner--that is an asprin, not tylenol or advil...good old Bayer-type.
Circulation is getting more attention from rehab doctors these days for us
paralyzed people. Toes and feet have been lost due to poor circulation when
such a simple infection as an ingrown toenail sets in---kinda like diabetis I
guess. As I have said before, I use a TENS unit for muscle stimulation and
that also helps my blood circulation. You might check that out, too.
