Dear Paul-
I also have the same problem with cathing. I seem to get infections all the
time, even though I'm on a low dose antibiotic program. I haven't found a
reliable urologist that I can trust. They all seem to give me the run
around.
My most recent urologist told me he was dropping me as a patient because he
felt there "was nothing else he could do for me". He didn't try to do
anything for me. He never even examined me. He just threw Ditropan at me.
Anyone have any suggestions? Anyone else concerned with possible kidney
damage? (Due to excessive U.T.I.'s)

My prior urologist was very concerned with kidney damage, not from excessive
UTIs, but from straining oneself in attempting to void, over a prolonged
period of time. For this reason, I had ultrasounds done at 6 mos. intervals
for several years until I finally recovered from TM nearly completely (that
is, I plateaued in my recovery, and cathing/bladder) was no longer at issue.
Just a thought.
