Dear Pats,
L'hermitt's sign is the electrical sensation which many of us feel when the
neck is bent forward as if looking at the toes. It is often felt down the
entire spinal column and sometimes into the extremities. I too awake with my
arms and hands completely numb and ice cold. It is so bad sometimes it
awakens me several times a night, which in turn adds to my already severe
fatigue. My doc. more or less says live with it!
I always tell myself it could be worse. Has the level of your lesion been
identified?
