I usually don't write or reply, maybe because I learn more from reading and
feel I don't have much to contribute, but I must respond to this. Sorry but I
am not in Memphis but you need to look for a PAIN MANAGEMENT CENTER that is
all they do is treat the pain for whatever the cause. They generally are
connected with some hospital but there are some that are clinics by
themselves. If you are unable to locate one through the phone book you need
to be agressive with your doctor to recemond one or at the very least take
control of the pain relief yourself.
1) There are lots of drugs that are not adictive.
2) Do a little research and offer suggestions of some drugs they may give you.
3) If the doc you have is not at least concerned that there is pain, you may
need a new doctor.

Neurontin 300mg is a low dose, the max is around 1800mg/day ask for increased
dose. NAPROXEN is a good anti-inflamitory, same as ALEVE you get over
the counter, it is avail. in 500mg Rx DAYPRO is a one time a day
painreliever take it in the morning and "timed released" through the day. MS
CONTIN is a morphine like pain killer given to cancer patients to relieve pain
and has no addictive qualities ( my mother has been on it for 3 years and is
not close to addicted)

You need to ask, then DEMAND somthing be done the days of putting up with it
has got to end. These things mentioned earlier may not be the answer but a
doc that does not address the problem or even ATTEMPT to help is not who I
would let treat me. I was a timid soul till I got this, I have since learned
to speak out, and not stop until I feel they are trying. Hope you find the
answer soon.
