Renee;
I also have itching, mostly in the groin area. I'm not saying your Doctor
was wrong, but, an MRI would've shown any lesions or tumors without invasive
surgery.I have found as I'm sure many others have, including the Drs. that,
the signal sent from the brain to the lower extremities or whatever will find
another pathway in time, but muscles will develope a memory. Whenever you do
your stretches, go through the complete range of motion. If you try to cross
your leg, and can only get it half way up, grab it and pull it the rest of the
way. If you don't, eventually it will think that's all the farther it's
supposed to go. Get the whole picture? every exercise. Complete range of
motion. You will recover somewhat. I went from a wheelchair to a walker in a
year, and now to quad canes, in a year and a half, so, recovery is possible,
but no one knows how much. Never miss an exercise, and make sure you get into
a pool.
Whatever you can do in water, eventually you will do out of water. Hope I was
of some help. Wishes for a speedy recovery.
