My name is Molly. I haven't been diagnosed with anything but fibromyalgia
so far and they aren't even sure about that. I am trying not to self
diagnos myself, but after 7 month of continuing and progressive pain, the
docotrs finally gave me something of an asnwer to work with. I have been
getting shots of cortisone and an anti-seizure drug called neurontin. So
far, so good. I ahven't had any pain in over a week. First time since
April of this year. So, I am delighted and anxious to share my results
with you. Whatever the diagnosis in my case, it is neuro involved and blood
tests and xrays don't give a ready-made answer and course of treatment. So,
the doc has me experimenting with dosages (1800 mg Neurontin -gabapentin-)
40 mg of Prozac and 4 mg of Lorazepam, with 20 mgs of Ambien (zolipedem) for
sleep. I am the average wife/mother who has burned the candle on both ends
and life has caught up with me. Started out tired all the time and joints
hurt, anziety because I felt I should be doing more to hold up my end of
life. And this is where I landed after 8 years of a bumpy life....hopefully
with an answer that will be effective long term. I will let you know my
results. Thing is, all the things the doc says is just a step away from
sort of named neuromuscular disease....so....I am not sure where the road is
headed but I am happy to be traveling it.....will let you know

Molly
