Steve,

I have had TM since December 30, 96. My neurologist told me that the initial
"regeneration" process occurs during the first 2 years from onset. He told
me to expect daily improvement at first, then weekly, then monthly, but I
would improve. He has been 100% correct in everything that he has told me,
so I have absolute trust in whatever he says.

My doctor also told me that there would be setbacks, days that I would feel
worse, but do not worry, just get plenty of rest, and I would improve.

So, just be thankful that you have improved as well as you have, and don't
let any lack of improvement worry you.

Also, I am not absolutely positive, but I thought my neurologist said that
the TM was caused by our system's antibodies overreacting in attacking an
infection, thus causing the damage. I don't think there is still any
infection in there. It is gone, just the damage that needs repairing is left
behind.

By the way, I was wondering if anybody caught the show "The View" today, the
one with Barbara Walters and a bunch of other women? They had Christopher
Reeve and his wife on, I feel so inspired when I hear him speak. My daughter
in Detroit went to a seminar in Detroit and listened to him.

Anyway, he made a comment that I thought were great words of wisdom. They
went something like, "Pain is inevitable, Misery is a choice."

Steve, keep up your spirits.
